Welcome to the fourth edition of Jamie’s Corner. This month I’ve got Steve Land and Tristian Harmsworth of BSKYB in my corner.
This month Jamie’s corner is Buzzing, I headed down to my beloved allotment at the weekend and was harassed by some angry bees! After being stung several times (mostly on the face) I finally decided I was safer at work so have been liaising with a number of the Gather & Gather sites including the big operation of BSKYB.
We were approached by Gather and Gather, the new catering operation set up by ‘Mitie’ to supply all the butchery for their SKY TV contract catering operation in Osterley. They believe food creates the opportunity for people to connect and as such, their catering business is not simply about providing food, but rather making the most of the opportunity to bring people together and make them happier, healthier and more productive.
I met with Steve Land and Tristian Harmsworth, Group executive and Head Chef respectively, to discuss the supply to their various operations, including staff restaurants serving 3500+ a day, directors private dining, outlet food cafes and a high end, 120 cover dining room.
We now supply them six days a week with our excellent meat, all of which of course have full provenance and farm assured accreditation, meaning they will now be able to inform all staff and customers the exact origin of all of their meat.
We look forward to hosting the chefs for a tour of our state of the art production facility and to a long and fruitful working relationship.
