The Telegraph is a true country pub set in the heart of Putney Heath, a stone’s throw from Wimbledon Common and opposite Roehampton Cricket Club yet only 5 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Putney High Street. The inn is famously named after the admiralty telegraph that stood nearby, which had been there since 1796 and was originally a shutter station. The Telegraph has a comprehensive menu with pub classics, some contemporary European dishes, lots of fresh fish, daily specials, vegetarian options and British steaks, which of course are supplied by Select.
