2# Eran Tibi – Bala Baya.

This is the first stand-alone project from Israeli-born Head Chef Eran Tibi. Eran is the epitome of modern Israeli cooking, descended from a family of countless global origins and cuisines. The soul, connections and knowledge of which can be experienced in every bite of his food. With his new canvas Bala Baya he will bring his family’s cuisine to a culinary experience that has yet to be tasted in London. Trained at Le Cordon Bleu and the kitchens of Ottolenghi, The Roundhouse’s Made In Camden kitchen and founding Executive Chef at Zest@JW3, Eran’s passion and creativity are apparent in every one of his dishes. His vibrantly progressive cuisine is rooted in his mother’s Middle Eastern home cooking and generations of baking expertise. Eran met Bala Baya’s co-founder and former creator of When Mac Met Cheese, Sammy Shonn, through a mutual fascination with the dynamic ‘White City’ from which Bala Baya derives inspiration.
