So this month our Christian has been thinking about his favourite childhood book that helped him through life, the Ugly Duckling, when he stumbled over an eye-catching little site in Carnaby Street. So what we know so far is that the menu was developed by none other than Head Chef Andrew Mead alongside brand ambassador Ping Wong. The brilliant name “The Ugly Dumpling” features (hence the name) a menu full of dumplings created using British seasonal ingredients to complement Ping’s Asian fusion flavours that are already so popular throughout street food markets today. To name a few, the menu consists of some classic favourites such as pork belly, prawn and chive & satay chicken, but there are some new editions to sink your teeth into like lamb, harissa & yogurt as well as salmon, lobster and tarragon. This gem is why it’s Walshy’s one to watch.
